BOARD OF WATER COMMISSIONERS MEETING JUNE 8, 2011
Members Present: Mr. Joseph Duffy, Mr. Michael Chernicki, Mr. Bruce Young, and Mr. Douglas Ficks. Absent with notice: Mrs. Mary Lou Sutter.
Also present: Mr. Neal Merritt, Water Supt.
Meeting opened at 5:00 P.M.
SUBJECT: Superintendent’s Report-Reviewed revenue comparison as of May 31, 2011.
July meetings scheduled for July 6th, and July 20th.
SUBJECT: Mr. Richard Edgehill present to talk about septic failures at Woodbine Avenue extension. Mr. Edgehill and the residents of Woodbine Avenue Extension want the Woodbine Avenue water main extended to Woodbine Avenue Extension through a Betterment program. Vincent Flaherty Health Agent joined the meeting at 5:35 P.M. and reiterated the importance of extending the water main and providing these residents with town water.
Commissioners agreed to research the issue with Town officials to understand the procedure for putting a betterment program in place for the work on extending the water main.
Mr. Bruce Young moved to enter into Executive Session at 5:50 P.M. under #3 to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining if an open meeting could have a detrimental effect on the government’s bargaining or litigating position. Seconded by Mr. Douglas Ficks. Roll call vote: Mr. Young; aye; Mr. Duffy, aye; Mr. Chernicki, aye; Mr. Ficks, aye. Voted 4-0 in the affirmative.
Back in public session at 6:22 P.M. No motions made and no votes taken in Executive Session.
Motion by Mr. Bruce Young to adjourn at 6:25 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Mike Duffy. Voted 4-0 in the affirmative.
